I have been privileged to serve Otero Elementary since 2012. Prior to becoming an Otero Panther, I was a special education teacher for 8 years in Widefield School District 3. Over the past 2 decades, education has changed, yet my passion and love of learning continues to be consistently strong. I am dedicated to empowering others through personal connections and strive to allow all people to reach their greatest potential socially, academically, and behaviorally. I am elated to partner with you and your family to make the 2025-2026 school year the most memorable yet!

I grew up in Pentwater, Michigan, a small tourist town, along the coast of Lake Michigan. I attended Pentwater Public School, a small community school, for grades K-12. I always loved school and my favorite hobbies as a child included softball and basketball, which I played until 1999 when I graduated  high school.

In May 2004, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Special Education from Grand Valley State University. My desire to be a life-longer learner took me back to school to get my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2007 and then my Principal Licensure in 2010.
